As a member of the I League – the officially recognized top tier league of our country will stand united face the challenges posed by ISL teams/FSDL who are in the process of making AIFF, ISL-centric and leaving I League clubs as orphans. The country is now witnessing the battle wherein I League clubs are resisting/challenging the unauthorized penetration of ISL teams/FSDL. Our prime aim is not to pay entry fee to remain in the top tier instead we would be pleaded to plough the same in our grassroots/youth development and other infrastructure development program to sustain the club. The I League clubs are the ones who were actively involved in grassroots/youth development program across the country which paved way in unearthing many talents who are now serving the National team at all levels. The latest statement which is being circulated in media regarding East Bengal’s participation in Super Cup is non committal. We, all member clubs have always seen East Bengal Football Club as a role model during our growing days and we are confident that QEBFC will always stand by our side to all our reasonable and genuine demands for the betterment of football in our country. It is time we stay united and fight for our rights for the development of this Global game in our country.
