Stephen Constantine became Indian Football Team Head Coach on January 16 2015, replacing certain tactician from Netherlands.
The Englishman received an extension this year, but after four eventful years, the AIFF is in no mood to extend his contract.
According to sources Constantine’s position is independent of India’s performance in the AFC Asian Cup in January and AIFF has already started the search for his replacement.
The major consideration would be given to manager’s experience with international sides. However, former Bengaluru FC coach, Albert Roca is seen as the early front-runner, sources confirmed.
A lot of fans have time and again demanded a more creative, on-the-ball style of play from Constantine and with a change likely at the helm, the voice behind the players will expectedly grow louder.
