Football is a team game and the collective almost always triumphs over individual talent. Having said that, the game has given us incredible attacking players who have decided innumerable games on their own. There are occasions when one club is blessed with not one, but three players of such quality that they win most matches because of their talent while the rest of the team provides a base for them to flourish.
We have been fortunate to have witnessed such attacking trios in the previous edition of Indian Super League (ISL). Let’s look at five of the top trios of all time at club level.
#5-Udanta Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Ashique Kuruniyan (Bengaluru FC)
Goals Scored: 11
Bengaluru FC did not had the best of their seasons, considering their previous achievements, as they were knocked out of ISL in the semi-finals by ATK FC and by Maziya in AFC Cup Qualifying Stages. One of the major reason was their inabilty to covert chances in front of goal. In this trio, Sunil Chhetri was the highest goal scorer (9) while Udanta Singh and Ashique Kuruniyan chipped in with one goal each.
#4-Messi, Ogbeche, Narzary (Kerala Blasters FC)
Goals Scored: 24
Kerala Blasters finished 7th in ISL 2019-20, their season being affected by injuries to many of the key players. With the likes of Ogbeche and Messi, scoring was never a problem for the yellow brigade as they collectively scored 23 goals (15- Ogbeche and 8- Messi) while Halicharan Narzary chipped in with a solitary goal.
#3-Roy Krishna, Edu Garcia, David Williams (ATK FC)
Goals Scored: 28
The reigning Champions of ISL scored an impressive total of 39 goals in ISL 2019-20 with the iconic duo of Fijian Roy Krishna and Australian David Willams scoring more than half of the total goals-22 (15-Roy Krishna, 7-David Willams). Spaniard Edu Garcia also scored some key goals (7), often coming as a Sub after the 75th minute.
#2-Valskis, Crivellaro, Chhangte (Chennaiyin FC)
Goals Scored: 29
Chennaiyin FC took ISL 2019-20 by storm after Owen Coyle became Head Coach, as they reached the finals after being written off by everyone due to their poor performance prior to the appointment. Golden Boot winner Valskis scored 15 goals while the Brazilian Crivellaro scored 7 goals, the half-way line goal being the most popular. Indian winger Chhangte also showed his prowess in front of goal as he scored 7 goals becoming the second highest Indian goal scorer only below Indian Captain Sunil Chhetri.
#1-Jackichand Singh, Coro, Hugo Boumous (FC Goa)

The ISL 2019-20 League Winners-FC Goa were the highest goal scoring club with a total of astonishing 51 goals. In this three, ISL All-Time Top Scorer Coro scored 14 goals while the French Midfielder Hugo Boumous scored 11 goals and at the same time provided 10 assists.
