Bengal Goverement requested him to play Santosh Trophy for Bnegal. Why?The reason is self evident . Bengal won Santosh Trophy that year!!

But One of the Greatest Achievment being an Indian is, He is the first Golden Goal Achiver, for Indian Football

He did score 6 Goals , played 39 matches. Need to make a point here, that India won SAFF Championship in Kathmandu, Nepal on 1997 under his Captainship

There is no Doubt to meantion that he is an Extra Ordinary Right Winger after Bikash Panji, in Indian Football. His early demise just in the age of 49 , left a lot of Heart break for some Your Upcoming Footballers, who could have learned a lot from him.
