The January transfer window was really busy in India with number of big deals going through. Many clubs made some key changes to their roster to make that final push for the second phase of the season.

However, some of the clubs like Chennaiyin FC were forced to land in replacements for their injured skipper Rafael Crivellaro, who is ruled out for rest of the season.

Let’s take a look at the done deals in fourth and fifth week and also deals that took place on the deadline day.

Sourav Das and Sarthak Golui leaves Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City FC’s centre-back Sarthak Golui and midfielder Sourav Das have joined SC East Bengal for rest of the season. Sarthak will be good addition to Robbie Fowler’s defensive set-up, which lacked depth. Sarthak Golui made four appearances for the Islanders this season.

Lenny Rodrigues decides to terminate contract with FC Goa

The experienced Indian midfielder Lenny Rodrigues terminated his contract with FC Goa to join ATK Mohun Bagan on deadline day. The veteran midfielder has been with Goan club for the past three seasons, however things didn’t work out well for the midfielder with management as per reports.

Lenny joins the Mariners on a 18-month deal on permanent deal. The 33-year-old has played number of clubs in Indian football circuit and have found success as well. He’ll be a key player for Habas in the middle of the park. Lenny had a good successful season with Mohun Bagan AC in the past in I-league.

While, Glan Martins goes the other way to his hometown club, FC Goa. The midfielder made just seven starts for the Mariners this season. The Goan player will be with the Gaurs club until end of the season.

Marcelinho joins ATK Mohun Bagan

Brazilian winger Marcelinho join hands with Spanish coach Antonio Habas. The Spaniard is missing the regular pace and crosses from the left side of the flank. Tamil Nadu forward Micheal Soosairaj has been a major miss for Habas this season, who is still yet to recover from injury.

Marcelinho can fill Soosairaj’s shoes, who will be with the Mariners untill the end of the season on loan from Odisha FC. Habas did appreciate the Brazilian back in December as ‘one of the best players in ISL.’

Brad Inman to Odisha FC on loan

Brad Inman will don Odisha colors until end of the season on loan from ATK Mohun Bagan. The Kalinga Warriors are currently last in the table under Stuart Baxter. Brazilian winger Marcelinho didn’t have a good connection with Baxter, who joins ATK Mohun Bagan for rest of the season.

Stuart will be expecting Inman to deliver the quality he is expecting in the attacking third. Inman didn’t get enough minutes under Habas, having played just seven games this term. Inman was a product of Newcastle United and played most of his career in England.

Jackichand Singh reunites with Lobera

The experienced winger signs in favor of Mumbai City FC on loan from Jamshedpur FC. Jackichand Singh had a good spell with FC Goa under Sergio Lobera, who has more completed crosses in the Hero Indian Super League history. While, Farukh Choudhary goes the other way to Jamshedpur.

Former India U-17 Skipper agrees terms with FC Goa

Amarjit Singh has reportedly agreed terms with FC Goa on a long-term deal. The defensive midfielder could join the Goan club on a permanent move from Jamshedpur FC by end of the season. Amarjit didn’t feature much for Owen Coyle’s side this term and his contract ends by May 2021 as well.

Former Shillong Lajong star set to join the Mariners

Former Shillong Lajong skipper Samuel Lalmuanpuia might join ATK Mohun Bagan FC by end of the season. Odisha FC has already loaned out their Brazilian Marcelinho to ATK Mohun Bagan and now, Samuel could follow his footsteps.

The 22-year-old is promising forward and didn’t get the amount of game time he deserves under Baxter. Habas could use Samuel’s services, who has the ability to play Jayesh Raje’s role at the club.

ATK Mohun Bagan in search of Arindam’s long-term replacement

The Mariners are in search of a perfect replacement for Dheeraj Singh, who recently signed in favor of FC Goa. Arindam has been solid for the Green and Maroons, however the management is looking to rope in Mumbai City FC’s Amrinder Singh.

While, Mohammad Nawaz is set to reunite with his former head coach Lobera at Mumbai City FC. Amrinder Singh to Mariners will be a huge signing for the club in the long-run.

Mohammad Irshad returns to I-league

The centre-back from Kerala signs in favor of I-league outfit RoundGlass Punjab FC. The 26-year-old defender has been outstanding in I-league and will represent RoundGlass Punjab FC this term. Irshad represented Punjab FC back in 2018/19 season and later joined his hometown club for the next season.

The defensive all-rounder signed in favor of SC East Bengal and played just four games under Robbie Fowler in ISL this term. Irshad will be hoping to change fortunes for Punjab FC, who are at the bottom half with just five points in five games. The club from Punjab also roped-in defender Samad Ali Mallick for rest of the season.
